Polar Loop Firmware Update for Android Available Says HRWC

Bozeman, MT (PRWEB) June 07, 2014

Polar Loop is the activity tracker that does heart rate and a new firmware upgrade is out that allows the device to work with the major Android smartphones says the Heart Rate Watch Company.

"This is a big development because the Polar Flow app now works with iPhone 4S and later, and with selected Android devices including Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 using Android 4.3 or later," says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "This adds tens of millions of additional users."

Unique Loop Features

"Loop is one of the only activity trackers that does real-time heart rate which is invaluable because activity trackers don't work when your wrist is stationary, like during cycling," says Squire. He adds, "These devices use Bluetooth Smart for direct communication with compatible Smartphones and to receive the signal from the Polar H7 transmitter."

"Polar has been doing heart rate based equipment longer any other manufacturer and they invented the whole industry back in the late 1970's," says Squire. He adds, "They've probably spent more time in human performance labs than any other company, which is why Polar heart rate monitors are accurate."

Accuracy Tested

"We tested Polar Loop on a 3.12 mile course for step accuracy and it did very well," says Squire. He adds, "The manual step count was 5,680 and the Loop measured 5,618, so that is only 62 steps off from dead accurate and well within acceptable."

"Polar Loop also uses a steel locking clasp so it won't fall off your wrist like 90% of the other activity trackers will," says Squire. He adds, "The Loop just looks a little dressier and is better made than the vast majority of activity trackers."

Unique Advantages

"Polar's heart rate strap the H7 also works with the majority of gym equipment and can be used with simply your Smartphone and an app, so this is a very versatile set-up," says Squire speaking of the Polar Loop bundle. He adds, "This is a huge advantage over other manufacturer's heart rate straps."

Talk To The Experts

"If you'd like to talk to a real expert regarding the Polar Loop and activity trackers, then simply call us at 866-586-7129," says Squire. He adds, "We think you'll appreciate talking with folks that actually test and use the products they sell."
